...well, nothing really. Every loss has a different degree of sting. Sometimes, a loss can be coupled with other losses...it just depends on how you look at it. The MudDogs lost the Gilruth League Flag Football Championship tonight...We did a fairly good job of keeping the game close. We had the lead with several minutes to go (i'm not sure how much time was left). We were driving down the field when our drive stalled. The rain started to come down...hard. We decided to punt to force the other team to drive the field in the rain. Well, the rain hurt us...the snap was hindered by the inclement weather and in flag football rules, if the snap hits the ground, it's a dead ball...that's exactly what happened. We turned the ball over ... the other team was able to make the drive and score a touchdown. It wasn't over just yet ... we made a pretty impressive drive with little time to go...less that 2 minutes. Again, it came down to the last play of the game to decide the victory. Tonight, things just didn't go our way...the rain kept coming down...in fact it rained until the game was over...then it just kinda stopped...wierd.
...well cold rain, wind, a loss and dampened spirits made for quite a miserable evening. I guess we'll try to make a come back next year.
