Rocket's Red Glare...

Discovery is on her way to the International Space Station on this historic day. This is the first time that a shuttle has been launched on the 4th of July. Brandon, I tried to tell them to launch tomorrow, but they wouldn't go for it. That was going to be my birthday present to you...now i guess i gotta find something else.

Well, i will be going to bed very early today so that i'm ready to support the mission. My arrival time at work will be 3am tomorrow morning...and then the following 10 days will be at 2am. So, please, no calls after about 6pm...hehe.

Perhaps i'll do a day to day log of our activities once i get home, which will be about noon everyday.

Scrubbed Again...

Weather was worse than yesterday and that has yet again delayed the launch of Discovery. Next attempt will be tuesday. I am not sure that launching on the fourth of july is such a good idea.. merely from the superstition aspect. While Rockets Red glare would be touching, i'm not sure that the bombs bursting in air is quite the affect we're after. But nonetheless, we're going to attempt to launch on tuesday. This really screws up my sleep shifting schedule. I now will have to come in at 2am instead of 3:30am. Well, stay tuned here for the latest.

Discovery will remain on the ground today due to weather. We'll try again tomorrow. I guess i'll play this sleep shifting game a little more. I might stay up a little later today than i did yesterday, but will try to get up early.
