Welcome to ADCO Orbit 3 debrief number two. The second night was another nice morning full of planning work. This morning we made sure that the plan was in order for today's docking. Later this afternoon, the ISS will be receiving some visitors, which will officially kick off the mated portion of this mission. The shuttle has been playing catch up in space as well as doing a thorough inspection for any damage. No damage has been found and as of this writing the shuttle is still trying to catch up with the station.
We did have a failure on my shift (which i am hoping is the only failure we'll see on this mission.) One of our rate sensing devices failed. But there is a known phenomenon with this particular device so I was able to recover from the failure without breaking a sweat. I've had this particular failure on several occasions so it didn't bother me...you fix it and go on about your business.
I had some company tonight (er, this morning) on console. Thanks, Erin, for rolling out of your nice warm bed to do some On the Job Training. You made the morning go perceivably quicker. Looking forward to your visit tomorrow morning.
Well, it's raining right now and that makes for great sleeping weather...i'm off to slumber for a while...
